
According to the latest data from MPF consultant GUM, the MPF market extended its year-to-date rally through 18 September with a steady overall performance. The GUM MPF Composite Index returned 2.9% in September, bringing the year-to-date gain to 15.2%.
On a per-member basis, the first half of September delivered HK$9,044, taking the year-to-date figure to HK$41,460. The overall return was driven upward by the strong performance of equity assets, with Greater China and local markets standing out.
Mixed-asset funds benefited from the equity rally and posted solid returns, while fixed-income funds remained stable but with limited gains. GUM noted that the MPF market performed steadily in September, with equity assets continuing to dominate the upswing.
