The Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) saw a remarkable rebound in April 2026, with the GUM MPF Index rising 6.5% according to data released today.
The strong performance has helped members recover most of the losses experienced in March 2026, when the MPF dropped 6.27% due to global market volatility.
Investment analysts attribute the April rebound to stabilization in global equity markets and strong performance in Asian markets, particularly Hong Kong and mainland China stocks.
