What did the MPFA announce in January 2011?

At a 21 January 2011 media lunch, the MPFA said its website would publish a searchable list of employers prosecuted or sued for defaulting on contributions. Criminal prosecutions rose from 1,129 in 2008/09 to 2,009 in 2009/10; the MPFA receives 20,000–30,000 default complaints a year, mostly employers not filing contribution data with trustees. On complaint, the MPFA first tries contacting the employer; where suitable, it sues directly to recover.
