Competition and regulatory pressure haven’t let up. After big banks led fee cuts, rivals must follow to defend market share; the MPFA keeps pressing trustees on cutting progress. Member choice will only sharpen competition further.
Direct savings, bigger retirement pots. Each percentage point off fees compounds into a large difference over decades. Members benefit sitting still; when changing jobs or consolidating, they can actively pick low-fee plans.
