Access information of your personal accounts

After changing jobs a few times, many of us will end up having a number of MPF accounts. This makes managing them rather difficult, and consolidating the MPF accounts is undoubtedly an efficient way of managing your assets. However, the first step toward consolidating your accounts is to have ready at hand names of your schemes and account numbers. This is how you can access the required information:

  1. Read communications from the trustees of your MPF schemes, such as annual benefits statements
  2. Make enquiries with the trustees of your MPF schemes by logging onto their websites or directly contacting them
  3. If you are not sure how many personal accounts you are holding, or who the trustees managing your accounts are, you can download from the MPFA website the “Personal Account Information Enquiry Form,” complete it and return it to the MPFA by mail or fax or in person, together with a copy of your HKID card. MPFA will let you know how many accounts you hold and with which trustees. However, MPFA does not have your account numbers, which you have to obtain by contacting the trustees.

If the idea of filling out a form does not appeal to you, you can also make enquiries through registered intermediaries in the market. You will need to authorize the principal intermediaries (PI) to undergo the enquiry process on your behalf.

  1. You can apply for the e-Enquiry of Personal Account (ePA) service via the ePA website or mobile application (MPFA ePA) with your HK ID card. This will allow you to access information about your personal accounts anytime.
