What does a 1.91% fee really mean?

MPFA data: 450-plus constituent funds still average 1.91% in fees, barely falling; the Consumer Council estimates a HK$20,000 earner contributing 40 years (5% return, 2% fees) loses over HK$1 million of a HK$3.05 million pot to managers. Guaranteed, mixed-asset and equity fund fees deserve the closest look.

How do you avoid overpaying?

Fees are returns’ invisible killer — half a point compounds hugely. Compare your funds’ expense ratios now and swap pricey ones for cheaper equivalents.
