AIA-JF’s MPF premier plan renamed from 23 September

AIA Pension and Trustee Co. Ltd. and JPMorgan Asset Management jointly announced: from 23 September 2011, the “AIA-JF MPF Premier Plan” will be renamed the “AIA MPF Prime Plan”.

Why the rename?

The change better highlights AIA’s multi-manager strategy for MPF services and reflects JPMorgan Asset Management’s global rebranding since 2008. AIA and JF formed their strategic alliance for MPF services in 1999; since 2005 they have expanded investment choices under the plan, bringing in other investment managers to meet diverse client needs.

Does it affect members?

The name changes; the AIA-JF alliance does not — the two will keep working closely, and JF remains one of the plan’s principal investment managers. The rename affects neither the partnership nor the management of the underlying MPF funds — members’ investment arrangements are untouched.
