Manulife AM gets senior portfolio manager for HK equities

Manulife Asset Management has appointed Oscar Leung as senior portfolio manager for the Hong Kong China equity market. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to Ronald CC Chan, head of equities, Asia.
 
Leung joins with more than 24 years of investment management experience, including over 10 years as senior investment manager for Hong Kong China equities with ING Investment Management in Hong Kong. Within this asset class, he developed in-depth expertise in managing mutual fund and institutional products and retirement funds offered under the Hong Kong Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF). His career also includes nine years with Nomura Asset Management (Hong Kong), where he managed one of the first Hong Kong equity products distributed in Japan.
 
As a senior member of the Greater China team, he joins a team in the Greater China region that includes 16 equity professionals in Hong Kong who work closely with eight Taiwan equity specialists in Taipei and 35 mainland China equity specialists in Beijing via Manulife TEDA, the company’s China market joint venture.
