Seven employers fined HK$136,000 for MPF defaults

The MPFA has announced that seven employers were convicted of defaulting on MPF contributions and fined a total of HK$136,000. The MPFA reminds employers to contribute on time — late payments attract surcharges and can lead to prosecution.

Employers must make 5% mandatory contributions for staff each contribution period and pay by the deadline. Repeat offenders face heavier penalties.
