No need to hand in HK$6,000 forms in person — estates get drop boxes

Registration for the HK$6,000 scheme opens on August 28. The Housing Department has announced that residents need not submit forms in person: forms are available at public housing estate offices from August 22, and drop boxes will be installed at estate offices from the 28th.

Where to get and submit forms?

From August 22, forms are available at bank branches, post offices, Home Affairs offices and public housing estate offices. Completed forms can go through banks, Hongkong Post or the estate-office drop boxes.

Phased registration

Registration runs in five phases by year of birth, each about five weeks. Register in your group’s window to avoid crowds.

How is the money paid?

It goes directly into your designated bank account; those without one can collect a cheque via Hongkong Post.
