MPF intermediaries: 10 hours of annual CPD required, 20% on core topics

The MPFA requires all registered individual intermediaries to complete at least 10 hours of continuing professional development each calendar year, with at least 20% devoted to core (MPF-related) topics. PEAK has been approved by the MPFA as an authorised institution running core courses.

What is the course for?

To brief intermediaries on the latest legislative changes. This two-hour course covers the newest legislative amendments, employment ordinances and MPF matters, plus changes to MPF codes and guidelines. Completion earns two hours of MPF core CPD credits.

What does it cover?

Latest statistics, legislative amendments, the investment journey and retirement planning. Content spans updated MPF statistics (Hong Kong demographics, social security allowance), MPF system features and protections (enforcement, eligibility, withdrawal of accrued benefits, fees, investment), MPF fund features, legislative amendments (including semi-portability essentials), the MPF investment journey (six decision points, five fund types’ features and risks), and retirement planning considerations.
