HK$6,000 scheme registration opens on the 28th

The government has announced that registration for the HK$6,000 scheme opens on August 28. Eligible Hong Kong permanent residents can submit forms through banks or Hongkong Post, and the money will be paid directly into designated bank accounts.

Who qualifies?

All Hong Kong permanent residents aged 18 or above. Overseas Hongkongers qualify too — no advance registration needed; they can complete formalities when in Hong Kong.

Registration is phased

To avoid crowding, registration runs in five phases by year of birth. Watch for the government’s timetable and register in your group’s window.
