Fidelity MPF: A Full Range for Every Life Stage

2011-06-06

Fidelity offers its MPF solution through the “Fidelity Retirement Master Trust”, pitching a full menu of funds matched to investment goals at different life stages, with a pledge to pursue consistently strong investment performance through disciplined planning and strategy.

What does the plan offer?

Different life stages, different fund choices. Selling points include a comprehensive fund range aligned to investment objectives; the “Savings Easy” fund series, which automatically adjusts asset allocation as the target retirement date approaches to keep risk in check; a 24-hour retirement website and hotline for account access; plus investment specialists, educational materials and online planning tools.

Who manages and safeguards it?

Fidelity invests, HSBC looks after the assets. The investment manager is Fidelity Fund (Hong Kong) Limited of the Fidelity group; trustee and custodian is HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Asia) Limited of the HSBC group, approved by the MPFA to safekeep trust assets and also acting as scheme administrator — keeping accounting records, calculating and paying members’ benefits, and valuing constituent funds. Who is it for?

Employees who want one plan to cover every stage. Whatever your life stage, the plan claims a matching fund choice; members nearing retirement can consider the auto-de-risking “Savings Easy” series instead of switching funds themselves.
