A District Court judge has ordered an employer to pay about $76,000 in MPF contributions owed to 28 employees. The MPFA also recovered about $4,000 for two more employees via the Small Claims Tribunal.
What happens to recovered arrears?
The MPFA puts recovered sums into the employees’ MPF accounts promptly. Defaulting employers end up paying anyway — plus legal consequences.
