$6,000 MPF injection FAQ: only at 65; ORSO members need a separate account

Government sources say that as early as next year’s first quarter, MPF accounts or occupational retirement scheme (ORSO, or “provident fund”) accounts will each receive a $6,000 injection, regardless of income.

When can you get the money?

The injection is only withdrawable at age 65. ORSO members will therefore need to open a separate MPF account to ensure they can collect it at 65.
