1. Divide the quoted rate by the number of times the interest is paid per year.
2. Enter this rate as the quoted rate per period.
For example, for a quoted rate of 6% interest paid monthly:
1. 6%/ 12=0.5%
2. Enter 0.5% per month.
3. Annual return is calculated as 6.168%
